Top 5 Toyota Models to Suit Your Family's Needs

People often think that when it comes to a family vehicle, you should definitely choose an SUV or a minivan. This is not the case. The truth is, before making a choice, the most important thing to do is to make a list of your needs. Knowing exactly what those needs are, it's then possible to make an educated decision on a new vehicle purchase.

That's why we're offering you five different looking Toyota models: the Sienna minivan, the RAV4 and Highlander SUVs, as well as the Avalon and the Camry Hybrid sedans.

As you will see, your family can find something to suit its needs in all of these vehicles. Manic Toyota, your dealer on the Côte-Nord, offers you a satisfaction-guaranteed purchasing experience, guiding towards a car in Baie-Comeau from the renowned Toyota brand. Explore our inventory of new Toyota vehicles and certified pre-owned Toyota vehicles with the best Toyota financing rates, and you'll have a great opportunity to walk away with the model you want.

As for our five featured products, here is how they can serve your family.

Toyota Sienna

If you have a large family (two grown children, three or more toddlers), a vehicle like the Sienna is obviously going to be a match. With room for seven passengers, it's the one that can accommodate the most people, but more importantly, even with its four seats upright, it still offers 2,129 L of cargo space.

That's the capacity of a model like the RAV4, but with the second row of seats folded down. So if you need to carry a lot of stuff, this is the Sienna for you. As a bonus, thanks to its hybrid configuration, its fuel efficiency is extraordinary, averaging between 7.0 L and 7.5 L/100 km.

Toyota Highlander

If your space needs are less than that required for entertaining, then the Highlander is more appropriate. It can accommodate up to eight people. With all the seats in place, its trunk is still 455 L. This increases to 1,150 L with the third row down, which still allows for a maximum of five people on board.

Also, if you need to do some towing, the Highlander can tow up to 5,000 lb with the V6 engine under its hood; the limit is 3,500 lb with the Sienna.

Toyota RAV4

The RAV4 is more suited to young families. In the back, two young children will be very comfortable and with a 1,064 L trunk behind the second row of seats, you'll have plenty of room to lug everything you need for your family activities.

When it comes to towing, the RAV4 offers plenty of options. While the base model allows for a 1,500 lb rear hitch, the capacity increases to 1,750 lb for the hybrid version, to 2,500 lb for the Prime model, and to 3,500 lb for the Trail model. The latter is better equipped for off-roading, which can be very useful if you enjoy exploring the countryside with your family on weekends.

Plus, the RAV4 is a winner at the pump, especially with one of the hybrid models.

Toyota Camry Hybrid

Your family life may not include incredible weekend hikes where a ton of gear has to be packed into your vehicle. If you have one or two kids, but don't have a lot of stuff to haul, the Camry sedan is still an attractive alternative, with plenty of room to spare in the back. As a bonus, the hybrid model will give you an incredible fuel efficiency around 5.2 L/100 km on average. You can hit road at a low price...

Toyota Avalon

What about the Avalon? It's hard to imagine a sedan of this size being the ideal family car, but with even more room in the back for teenagers and a generous trunk, it's hard to find a more comfortable model. If you spend a lot of time on the road with your family, the Avalon is worth serious consideration.
