Toyota was very busy at this year’s New York Auto Show. In addition to introducing a new generation of the Toyota RAV4, the Japanese manufacturer also unveiled the all-new Toyota Corolla Hatchback. With its sporty look and spacious cargo area, the Toyota Corolla Hatchback attracted a lot of attention in New York, where its design, among others, was highly praised.

A REAL HATCHBACK

The 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback will replace the Corolla iM, which was a Scion product. The Corolla Hatchback will offer more space than the Corolla iM and is built on a new platform that should make it more fun to drive, safer, and more spacious.

Those who have had the opportunity to drive it speak of a refined interior where safety and connectivity take the spotlight. We would not expect anything less from Toyota. The trunk can accommodate more than 1,000 litres with the rear seats lowered.

Under the hood, it’s unclear for now what engine will power the Corolla Hatchback. It wouldn’t be surprising to find a 2.0 litre four-cylinder engine with more than 150 horsepower.
